In years we looked for quality and genuineness, so not every course is always available because some of these are difficult to find in some seasons. When you sit down at your table, we’ll serve to you a dry wine with a bruschetta – bread with oil – so that you can read our menu taking it easy.
We have a variety of starters:
- The Sushi: raw mincemeat dressed with oil, salt, parsley, garlic and lemon
- The Chianti’s tuna: pork beef boiled in white wine and laurel, and then served with green onion and cinnamon
- The Patanegra: one of the best raw hams you can taste
- The Cotto di Norcia: cooked ham carved with black truffle
- The Mushrooms Salad
- The Carpaccio: finely sliced raw beef with oil, lemon, slivers of Parmesan and Barolo
- The Controfiletto: Angus sirloin with mushrooms
Let’s continue with the first courses:
- Taglierini: dressed with Castelmagno Tartufato, a typical piedmontese cheese
- Ravioli: with borage or beef, dressed with almond sauce
- Pappardelle: strips of pasta with a meat sauce or pesto
- Gnocchi: potato dumplings dressed with truffle’s cream or pesto
- Lasagne: dressed with pesto
- Penne alla Contadina: pasta quills dressed with a mixture of a variety of vegetables prepared in a saucepan and fried mushrooms with pine nuts and novel tomatoes.
The second courses:
- Brasato di coppa al Barolo: braised beef with creamy potatoes and aromatic vinegar (available only in winter)
- Wild boar (or hare) in salmì: marinated and slowly cooked in the marinade, with mush (available only in winter)
- Spiedone: a kebab with 500 grams of meat and vegetables (available only in summer)
- Galletto del vicino: so-called because these cockerels are provided by our neighbor who is a breeder (available only in summer)
- Grilled meat: the Angus’ tagliata, the Cecchini’s tagliata, grilled fillet of Angus (300g) served with trevigiana, Norcia’s or Cecchini’s sausages served with cannellini, brisket of grilled duck, spare ribs with potatoes and rosemary, pork fillet with Tropea’s onions, Irish rack (1 kg) and the Giginoburger
(hamburger – 250 g – with chips, mayonnaise and ketchup). - Bistecca alla fiorentina: rare cooked T-bone steaks (1.4 kg – 2.5 kg)
- Fixed stockfish: on demand two days before
The vegetables:
- Grilled vegetables prepared at the moment
- Chips with rosemary
- Purée
- Chestnuts with brandy
- Sauce for crudités
- Mixed salad
The desserts:
- Tiramisù
- Pannacotta, a dessert made of cream
- Crema catalana
- Fruit in syrup
- Cantucci in “saint wine”
- Sorbets
- Ice creams
We have also a variety of wines, such as Chianti, Amarone and others that are particularly suitable while eating red meat.
